Budweiser • Born the Hard Way
In 2016 we labeled the can “America”. As a followup, we wanted to honor the American Dream, by telling the story of the company’s immigrant founder, Adolphus Busch, on the Super Bowl.
The ad premiered just days after President Trump’s controversial travel ban, causing a call for a boycott on Twitter. Unfortunately they misspelled the hashtag (#boycottbudwiser) and the ad ranked 4th on the USA Today Ad Meter despite it. There’s even a Wikipedia page about it.
